In short: we use the mobile number on your SIM, the profile details you enter and basic device information to run your account, credit the coins you buy and show answers in your language. Payments are handled by Razorpay — we never see your card details, UPI PIN or bank password. We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

Who We Are

The Astro Rules AI mobile app (the "App") and the website astrorulesai.com (together, the "Service") are operated by Rudhra ELink (OPC) Private Limited, NO 34, Erikkarai Street, Madipakkam, Oilmill, Nanganallur, Saidapet, Kanchipuram, TN 600061 ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It is published under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

By installing the App, creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information We Collect

1. Your mobile number

The App signs you in with the mobile number on your phone's SIM card, instead of a password or OTP. With your permission (the Android "Phone" permission), it reads your SIM's phone number and network operator to create and verify your account.

2. Profile details you give us

Name, email address and WhatsApp number
City, district, state, country and PIN code
A profile photo, if you add one — taken with your camera or chosen from your gallery. The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo.
Your preferred app language and answer language

3. Device information

Device identifier (Android ID), and your device's brand, model and name
Android version and App version
SIM network operator and country
A push-notification token from Google Firebase

We use these to keep your account tied to your device, to prevent misuse and to send you notifications.

4. Coins, purchases and activity

Plans you buy, coins credited and your coin balance
Payment amount, status, method (such as UPI or card) and the Razorpay order or payment reference
The referral code used for a purchase, if any
Questions you unlock, the languages you read them in, and your likes and dislikes
Reviews you submit

5. Payment details

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card number, UPI PIN, net-banking password and similar details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never received or stored by us. We only receive the payment confirmation and the details listed above.

6. Fingerprint lock

If you turn on fingerprint lock, your fingerprint is checked by your phone's Android system. We never receive or store your fingerprint — we only store whether the lock is turned on.

7. Website visitors

Our website uses only the essential session cookies it needs to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies or trackers.

We do not read your SMS messages, contacts, call logs or location, and we do not access your photos other than one you choose as your profile photo.

How We Use Your Information

To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure on your device
To show questions and answers in the language you choose
To process your purchases, credit coins and keep a record of your transactions
To apply referral discounts and pay commission to our affiliate partners
To send you notifications about your account, new content and offers
To answer your support requests and handle refunds
To detect and prevent fraud, misuse and breaches of our Terms & Conditions, including blocking accounts or devices
To improve the Service and to comply with the law

Who We Share It With

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Razorpay — to process your payments.
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications.
Hostinger — our hosting provider, on whose servers the Service and its data are stored.
Affiliate partners — if you buy using an affiliate's referral code, that affiliate can see your name (or your mobile number if you have not added a name), and the plan, coins, amount and date of that purchase, so they can track their commission.
Legal requirements — when required by law, a court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
Business transfer — if our business is merged or sold, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it under this policy.

These service providers use your information only to provide their services to us, under their own privacy policies.

Reviews Are Public

If you submit a review and we approve it, your review, name and profile photo may be shown publicly in the App and on our website. We may decide not to publish, or to remove, any review.

How We Protect Your Information

Your information travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and is stored on secured servers with restricted access. We follow reasonable security practices and procedures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, it is deleted 30 days later (logging in again before then cancels it). We then delete or anonymise your personal information, except records we must keep by law — such as payment and tax records, which we keep for as long as Indian law requires, no longer linked to your name or number.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and correction — you can view and update your profile in the App at any time, or ask us for a copy of your information.
Delete your account — in the App, go to Settings → Delete Account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page. Your account and personal information are deleted as described above; unused coins are lost when an account is deleted.
Permissions — you can turn off the camera, phone or notification permission in your phone's settings. The App cannot sign you in without the phone permission.
Notifications — you can turn off notifications in your phone's settings.
Withdraw consent — you can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account. This does not affect what was done before you withdrew it.

Children

The Service is meant for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the App.

For any question, complaint or request about your personal information, write to our Grievance Officer using the contact details below. We will respond within 30 days.
